Saudi Arabia’s 2-Month Amnesty for Yemenis: Who Qualifies and How to Apply

From 11 October 2026, for two months (to about 10–11 December 2026), on King Salman’s directive, the Interior Ministry and Passports Directorate are regularising Yemenis staying illegally in the Kingdom, through 23 centres nationwide, open 60 days. Who qualifies and how: no documents — free six-month visit visa via Absher appointment; expired visit visa or ID — six-month electronic extension; expired iqama — transfer to a new employer via Absher, Qiwa or Musaned, or final exit without restrictions; absconding reports can be cancelled and services transferred. Penalties, violations and fines for illegal residency and work are exempted for eligible applicants. What it means for you: legal status means SIM cards in your own name, Absher access, freedom to move and work, and Umrah travel. Deadline-driven: applications must be made inside the window.
