About KSA Expat Rights
KSA Expat Rights is an independent information site for expatriate workers in Saudi Arabia. We explain the money side of Saudi labor law — end-of-service benefits, overtime pay, resignation rules, notice periods, GOSI, iqama fees, and final settlements — in plain English, with simple calculators where a formula helps.

Who this site is for
This site is written for the millions of non-Saudi workers who power the Kingdom’s private sector: engineers, technicians, drivers, retail staff, healthcare workers, teachers, and everyone in between. If your paycheck depends on understanding Saudi labor rules and nobody has ever explained them to you clearly, you are exactly who we built this for. Domestic workers have a dedicated guide too: end-of-service for domestic workers.
Why we exist
Labor-law information about Saudi Arabia is scattered across Arabic legal texts, outdated blog posts, contradictory summaries, and forwarded WhatsApp messages. Workers routinely sign final settlements without knowing what they are owed, miss resignation windows, or budget from last year’s fee figures. We started this site to be the page you wish you had found before signing anything: clear, honest about uncertainty, and pointed at the official sources that actually decide your case.
Our editorial standards
- Plain language first. Legal concepts are explained the way you would explain them to a colleague — no jargon without a definition.
- No legal advice. We are not lawyers and this site is not a law firm. Every guide says so, and every guide points you to HRSD, Qiwa, or qualified counsel for decisions that matter. See our full disclaimer.
- Sources cited, conflicts disclosed. Where the law is clear, we say so and cite the article. Where sources conflict — the 30 vs 60 day notice period, overtime formula variants — we say that too, instead of faking certainty. Uncertain points are flagged for verification.
- No invented facts. We do not publish testimonials, reviews, user counts, rankings, or statistics we cannot verify. Figures that change — like fee schedules — are deliberately left for you to check officially rather than printed as stale facts.
- Estimates are labeled. Every calculator on this site is marked as an estimate, because your contract, allowances, and the official interpretation all affect the real number.
What we are not
We are not affiliated with the Saudi government, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Qiwa, GOSI, or Musaned — though we link to them constantly, because they are the authorities that matter. We are not a recruitment agency, a law firm, or a visa service, and we do not sell any of those services. If we ever recommend a third-party service in the future, it will be clearly marked — see our affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Labor rules change and we can get things wrong. If you spot an error or an outdated figure, tell us through the contact page — corrections are the fastest way this site gets better.
